Working out in the water is low impact, safer on joints, full of hydrostatic resistance, and a surprising amount of cardiovascular training that targets your whole body. It’s great for people with body weakness, balance problems, and pain as well as athletes. We’ll work on muscle conditioning, core strengthening, balance stabilizing, flexibility enhancing, chest & hip opening, all in the safety of the water. As always, listen to your body, never work through pain, and feel free to modify. Friday Fitness Walking: 10:15AM (meet by the dock on the restaurant side) $5 Drop in for a walking workout designed for seniors. That same loop around the lake can get boring, and suddenly you’re full of excuses for skipping that morning stroll. We’ll mix things up with some music, fun, conversation, balance, and functional exercises along the way! If it rains, we’ll meet under the eaves of the clubhouse by the fire pit and do a circuit there. Class starts January 6th

Line dancing is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps which a group of people dance in one or more lines. No partner dancing is involved. Dances will include the cha cha, traditional country, rumba, bachata, waltz, and the mambo. Line dancing builds muscle memory and stamina while having fun. Bring water and wear close-toed shoes. Class size is limited to 12. No guests are permitted. Students register for a month at a time at $10 per month per session. Masks are optional. Contact Sherry for availability. We will be learning more dances and more steps although each will generally be at the beginner’s level. Dancers will move at a faster pace than those in the traditional beginner’s class. This is a great opportunity for those who have danced in the Beginners classes to grow. The class size is limited to 12 dancers in order to maintain social distancing. No guests are permitted. Masks are optional at this time. Bring water and wear closed-toes shoes. Students register for a month at a time at $10 per month per session.
